Schools offering courses in online business, e-commerce, and the Internet come in many shapes and sizes. To choose the right one, you will have to know the following:

• Do you want a degree program, and if so, what type?
  Are you looking for a Bachelor's or Master's degree, continuing education credits, a certificate program, or simply some how-to information with no need for credit?

• What course of study are you interested in?
  There are so many courses out there, you should take some time to narrow down your interests and/or requirements. • How much can you afford?
  You'll find a large range of prices, from the Ivy League level, to a more budget-minded level. It's up to you to determine the price and value to you are in sync.

• How much of a time commitment are you willing to make?
  You will find degree programs lasting several months or years as well as one-off courses lasting just a day or two. Make sure you understand the difference when comparing prices.

Once you have answered these basic questions, there are several portals that can help you narrow down your search, but don't rely solely on them.
